The e-waste issue brought up in Parliament
With synergy between the BEWMAN project and the program for legislative initiatives through cooperation of civil society organizations and the Assembly of the National Democratic Institute (NDI), the Macedonian MPs were familiarized with the responsibilities and experiences coming from the EU Directive on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), based on which a Law on e-waste is being prepared.

The call for protection of citizens’ privacy submitted to the Assembly
Fifteen organizations assisting the development of the Republic of Macedonia in various aspects, reacted to the threats to privacy and democracy contained in the Draft-Law amending the Law on Electronic Communications, on June 11, calling for the withdrawal of the law from parliamentary procedure.

Open letter to the Мinister of education on the occasion of Open Access Day, October 14
