Specific objectives of the project included the improvement of the capacities of the members of the Commissions for Interethnic Relations (CIRs) so that they would be more efficient, increase their visibility and ability to work within the frames of their legally determined competencies, through the use of new technologies.

The project is aiming to achieve the following results with its activities: increased cooperation and exchange of good e-waste management practices between all relevant stakeholders, raised public awareness about proper e-waste management, increased capacity of civil society organizations for lobbying and advocacy for proper electronic waste management, increased media coverage of e-waste related matters and a reduced number of devices that are still functional, but being disposed of.

Creative Commons (CC) serves public interest in a robust exchange of expression, knowledge, and art. Our first objective is to offer the public in Macedonia a set of copyright licenses free of charge. These licenses help people tell the world that their copyrighted works are free for sharing – but only under certain conditions.

The activities of this project will aim to increase the capacity of the target groups for online activism through blogging in general, with а special emphasis on anonymous blogging, as well as online journalism, depending on the circumstances of the different target groups. This approach consists of two components: knowledge and skills on one hand, and on the other hand, motivation to use them. While the technical aspects are essential, because the use of new media enables faster and broader multilateral communication, the moral aspect is critical to the project success.

The overall project goal is to contribute to the development of critical thinking and democratization in Macedonia through the constructive use of new technologies as tools to increase the quantity and quality of educational, scientific and academic e-content.
